Born in 1967 in the hill side of a beautiful city of Manizales Colombia, a city that embraces the richness of Colonial and contemporary architecture and the splendor of the tropical.
My childhood was full of adventures in the countryside, I was embraced by all the coffee plantation and all the amazing year when my family move to the rainforest in Quito and the Amazon Colombia, I was enchanted by the majesty of the trees and the wildlife, this great experiences will company through all my life.
Since my childhood I had the desire to be an Artist at the age of 15 I commit my self fully to become an artist. I committed to used all the free time that I was able to used, like not watch TV, or used with a lot of friends, I instead I will used this time to learn how to draw and paint.
By the age of 19 I start working with the sculptor Juan Salazar how guide me in the expertise of modeling and wood carving, we work together for a few year until Juan make the decision to move to New York, he found a job in the Saint John the Divine Cathedral NY working As sculptor.
In that time they have a large projects like the Jewish Museum N.Y. A project that was require a stone carving expertise like the old masters. I was hire and that is how my working in stone begins, I move to N.Y. a the age of 24, to work for the company Cathedral Stone Work N.Y "The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine" for four years.
I work in many projects The fine art building in the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, the Hamilton Library in Indiana, the saint Peter the Fisherman church, Two Rivers Wisconsin, and many others.
